Permanent-electro magnetic technology for holding workpieces on machine tools is now in common use thanks to its clear application advantages. However, not all products on the market today are the same; there are significant technological and construction differences, especially for the magnetic chucks used on machining centres and milling machines. Our workholding systems are created to offer precision, flexibility and safety and optimise efficiency when machining workpieces.

The efficiency of state-of-the-art technology
Whatever the machining, magnetic systems are the most efficient solution for holding workpieces in mechanical machining. The workpiece rests evenly on the magnetic surface that acts without compression or deformation, in part due to the use of movable and fixed pole extensions.
With traditional mechanical brackets, the workpieces are subjected to deformation and are never completely accessible, so they must be repositioned multiple times to complete the machining cycle. With a magnetic system, on the other hand, the piece remains accessible on 5 sides, which can be machined after a single initial positioning. The absence of machining vibrations facilitates removal, extends tool life, offers better surface finish and is in total compliance with machining tolerances.
A permanent-electro magnetic system is intrinsically safe: the power supply is used for just a few moments during activation and deactivation of the surface, and the workpiece remains clamped thanks to the force generated by the high-energy permanent magnets, unaffected by any interruptions of electrical current.
The main advantages of the MAG AUTOBLOK TECNOMAGNETE permanent-electro magnetic system
- Uniform holding over the entire contact surface
- Tools can access the 5 faces to be machined
- Quick positioning and holding of the workpiece
- No vibration during machining
- Better cutting quality and longer tool / insert life
- Respect for the condition of the workpiece without stress or deformation
- Flexibility in holding workpieces of any size or shape
- Long-term reliability of workpiece holding
- Permanent, constant and pre-calculable magnetic security
- Simple and quick MAG / DEMAG cycles at the touch of a button
- Electronic control unit with MAG/DEMAG display
- Can be integrated into the production process through PLC interface
- Remotely controllable and diagnosable – Industry 4.0
- High energy savings: only 1″ of electricity
- Does not require significant maintenance
In the milling and machining of moulds and dies
MILLTec magnetic chucks are the most technologically advanced magnets available on the market. They are designed to optimise the holding of workpieces on milling machines and machining centres. WIth circular polarity, they are built from solid pieces and do not include resin, which makes them highly reliable. The MILLTec/R version is designed to maximise the performance of 5-axis machines.
Quad Extra represents the latest evolution of square polarity technology for milling tables. Experience and innovation allow for great rigidity and durability over time. Quad Block is a modular system for holding workpieces with maximum flexibility, suitable for both milling and welding.
In grinding and turning
The RadialTec system is a circular chuck with mono-block technology for light turning and finishing processes.
TFP is the magnetic chuck with parallel poles ideal for precision grinding.
