The solution
Coil: magnetic modules for moving coils
Lifting and transporting coils using “C” hooks involves risks: damage and deformation of the load are frequent. Furthermore, the grip on the coil is often unstable and therefore dangerous for operators and equipment.
A permanent-electro module represents a smart alternative to traditional methods: hook the load from above, uniformly, without damaging it.
Advantages
Compared to traditional mechanical systems it has important advantages:
- Centring speed Positioning the coil is quick and safe
- Load integrity By not damaging the load under any circumstances, they make packaging and protections superfluous
- Optimisation of warehouse areas Since they work from above, they do not require additional manoeuvring space
Modules
CH: for horizontal axis coils
The CH modules are optimised for maximum performance in the presence of loads with layered surfaces. They are equipped with an automatic load centring system and, upon request, a motorised turning system to facilitate stowage and truck loading.
CV: for vertical axis coils
In annealing plants, coils need to be stacked inside treatment areas. The CV module makes it possible to handle loads with a single tool, and therefore without the presence of an operator on the ground or the use of the crane’s auxiliary hook.
The CV modules represent the best solution applicable in the presence of “open coils”, i.e. coils in which a spacer wire is placed between two turns to facilitate the passage of air and therefore annealing.
In these cases, handling is very critical, as loads are easily damaged. CV hooks the load from above, without compression or deformation.
Permanent-electro VS Electromagnet
A permanent-electro module is safe, as it is unaffected by power failures. Compared to a traditional electromagnet, it also offers significant savings in terms of electricity consumption and cycle speed.
Total safety in operating conditions
A series of safety systems prevents lifting loads beyond the limit value (PICKUP), demagnetization during handling (DAUTANAC) and accidental activation and deactivation (SAFE).
CV/T: FOR AUTOMATIC CUTTING LINES (SERVICE STEEL COMPANIES)
CV/T modules are used for handling the finished product, i.e. unloading of the roller bed and in the tipper downstream of the reel unloading turret. They are equipped with all the interface contacts necessary for the PLC to manage the process; activation and deactivation cycles are completed very quickly for maximum efficiency.
